High Brightness High Definition for Sky TV
QED provided flown doubled up Sanyo HD-10 projectors for a Sky TV HD premier at the annual BII meeting last month at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Due to the high level of room brightness and the large screen size (16ft wide) it was alway likely that doubling up would be required.

QED's senior av technician Adam Bending was put in charge of this highly challenging rig. Using short throw zoom lenses Adam made quick work of doubling up the two flown Sanyo HD-10 projectors, leaving plenty of time to stand back and admire the results.

The source tape was played back using a Sony JH-3 HDCAM recorder and the switching between the HD video and the high resolution logo source was provided by QED's Spyder processor.
